Are you eligible for the OZEV Grant?

The government OZEV Homecharge scheme grant is eligible to individuals who have taken ownership or have become the registered driver of a new or second-hand electric vehicle.  

The scheme contributes towards the cost of the installation of an OZEV approved charger.

There are several eligibility criteria that must be met in order to receive the Homecharge scheme grant.  

The five core requirements are as below.

• You have purchased an OZEV eligible electric car or plug-in hybrid vehicle from 1st October 2016 onwards.

• You have private, off-street parking where a charging cable will not impede a pedestrian walkway or pavement.

• The EV charger must be OZEV approved. All our chargers offered are OZEV approved.

• The installation of the EV charger should not be more than four months before the date of delivery of the electric vehicle or the date you become the registered driver of the vehicle.

• You need to use an OZEV approved installer such as smartEVchargers.

If you are eligible for the grant, then as an OZEV improved installer, we will apply on your behalf and deduct the grant from your total EV charger price.
